Mi è giunto per email, un pdf che parlava dei polli cinesi ecc.... le immagini sono talmente schifose che ho pensato di nn pubblicarlo, però ho voluto indagare un pochino sulla provenienza degli alimenti e se esiste un modo per conoscerla con certezza... come potete immaginare la risposta è no!!... ossia se c'è l'intenzione di fregare l'acquirente comprando polli in cina e confezionarli a milano e.... bhè dobbiamo ricordaci che siamo animali il ns l'olfatto il gusto ....speriamo ci aiutino,...ed è per qs che il sottoscritto non mangia alimenti troppo pepati... se nn ne conosce la provenienza.
Ma ora parliamo del codice a barre che è presente sugli alimenti.

Ormai sono sempre più numerosi i consumatori che vogliono comprare soltanto prodotti italiani, perché li considerano più affidabili e di maggiore qualità. Prima dell'acquisto vanno a guardare il codice a barre, pensando che identifìchi il Paese di provenienza e, se le prime due cifre sono "8" e "O", pensano che il prodotto sia stato fabbricato in Italia.
Il codice a barre è una specie di "carta d'identità computerizzata" delle confezioni, composta da barre chiaro-scure di diversa lunghezza e spessore e da numeri, che vengono "letti" immediatamente dal registratore di cassa e permettono di fornire anche uno scontrino dettagliato al consumatore. Le prime due cifre (a volte le prime tre), però, non indicano il Paese di provenienza, ma quello in cui ha sede legale il proprietario del marchio. È vero che nella maggioranza dei casi la sede legale coincide con quella del Paese nel quale risiede il fabbricante e dove il prodotto è stato fabbricato, ma non sempre è così, per diversi motivi:
 il prodotto alimentare è stato fabbricato all'estero, importato in Italia e venduto con un marchio italiano; in questo caso le prime cifre del codice a barre sono" 8" e "O", ma evidentemente non si tratta di un prodotto italiano;
il prodotto è stato fabbricato in Italia, ma il fabbricante ha sede legale altrove (è il caso, per esempio, di diverse multinazionali), per cui le prime due cifre sono quelle di un altro Paese
il prodotto è stato fabbricato in Italia, con materia prima o semilavorati provenienti dall'estero, per cui le prime due cifre sono "8" e "O", ma il consumatore non può conoscere la provenienza della materia prima, perché non c'è nessun obbligo di indicarla sull'etichetta.
concludendo......Per avere una ragionevole garanzia che il prodotto alimentare sia italiano occorre guardare anche se sull'etichetta c'è scritto: "fabbricato nello stabilimento di..." (con l'indirizzo di una località italiana), oppure: "distribuito da...", poichè in quest'ultimo caso si tratta probabilmente di un prodotto importato.
